New position: Organisational Development Mentor closes 6 March

MHI has a new position for a volunteer from New Zealand, through NZ VSA (Volunteer Service Abroad).

MHI is seeking to increase the capacity of local staff with the aim of becoming increasingly sustainable and independent of international staff.  To meet this goal, the organisational development mentor will create professional development plans based on the needs of staff within the organisation. The volunteer will mentor the Team Leader to develop their leadership, communication and strategic skills, as well as working with the wider staff to increase their skill base, knowledge of MHI’s operational systems and capacity to independently fulfil their roles. Through training and mentoring, the volunteer will support MHI to achieve and report on their annual action plan for 2016, and will look develop an action plan for 2017.

For this assignment, we are seeking a volunteer with:

  • A qualification or extensive experience in project management or organisational development
  • Demonstrated skill in developing and enacting strategic and annual planning
  • Experience implementing sustainable processes and projects
  • Experience managing and mentoring staff

This assignment is 1 year assignment (with the option to extend), based out of Lospalos, Timor-Leste.

New closing Date: March 6 2016

Expected in Field: May 2016
Position Term: 1 year, with the option to extend by mutual agreement
