Visiting Artist School Holiday Program April 2018: digital art and painting on glass with Simao
During the Easter school holidays, Many Hands International hosted a special 5-day creative workshop at the Lautem Cultural Centre. 25 young boys and girls learned how to paint on glass and then organised a community exhibition to celebrate their creative achievements with their families.
Visiting Artist Simao, from Arte Morris and Many Hands Arts Participation Officer, Cesario Laudes lead the activity, sharing their skills and knowledge with the young students. It was a delight to see so many young females included among participants seeking to develop their visual art skills and we congratulate the Many Hands team on delivering such a successful program. We also extend our thanks to Simao for travelling to Lospalos to share his skills with the young people in the community.
Many Hands intends to run regular school holiday workshops at the Cultural Centre and we welcome those with skills in visuals arts, dance, music, creative writing and theatre to contact admin@manyhands.org.au if they would like to share their skills with young people in Lautem during future school holidays throughout 2018.
